Project Planner Wanted in Rochester, NY
Responsibilities: – Develop and maintain a comprehensive critical path project schedule for assigned projects. – Provide monthly CPM schedule updates and reports for internal and external customers. – Identify critical paths and propose mitigation plans to project stakeholders in order to meet and/or exceed project milestones/deliverables. – Provide time impact analysis to support change order and claims to project stakeholders. – Development of project schedules for tender proposal activity. – Develop and maintain project cost planning in ERP system (SAP PS Module) for assigned projects. – Responsible for monthly planning/reforecasting of project labor, material and expenses. – Maintain monthly project work package reports. – Continuous improvement in methods and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy of project planning function.

Outage Scheduler Wanted in Homer City, PA
Homer City Station is an electric generating station which is scheduled for a maintenance outage from April through May, 2012. Primavera scheduling experience required. Employment would be approximately from March until the end of the outage.

Project Controls Specialist Wanted in Horsehead, NY
Alliance Engineering is seeking a team member to create, maintain and analyze project schedules and man-hour/cost budgets versus actual and committed values, measure progress, forecast man-hours/costs at completion, manage change, and issue reports to the Project Team, Management, and the Client as required.

Qualified candidates will have at least five (5) years of experience in the cost control and scheduling of projects in the Onshore and Offshore Upstream Oil and Gas Industry. They will have a degree (BS, MS, MBA), preferably in a related field. They must also have a good working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, as well as basic office/administrative software.

Scheduler Wanted in Pittsburgh, PA
A power company is seeking a scheduler to work in the field from June through mid-November. The successful candidate will be experienced with using Primavera P6 for outage scheduling, multiple calendars, and resource loading. He or she understands construction logic and has power plant experience.

Per diem: maximum of $100/day worked or for 7 days if required to stay in area (long-distance)
Schedule: 5 x 8s from now to 9/9/11
Outage: 6x10s from 9/10/11 to 11/4/11 (8 weeks)
Post-outage: 5x8s until demob. (approximately mid-November)
Rate: no double-time; all overtime at time-and-1/2
Conditions: heavy industrial; position will require a lot of time in the field including walking, climbing stairs and being in the work area; not an office job

P6 Scheduler Wanted in Pittsburgh, PA

Construction Scheduler Wanted in Rochester, NY

Project Manager (Construction Claims and Dispute Resolution) Wanted in Pittsburgh, PA
The Duggan Rhodes Group is seeking a team member to work closely with attorneys, contractors, owners and other experts to prevent or resolve construction disputes. The company draws from expertise in engineering, accounting and construction to fact-find. This career pairs engineering knowledge and analysis skills with a dynamic consulting role. The candidate would be responsible for the direct management of approximately $500,000 in engaged projects, serving as client liaison with direct team supervision.

Qualifications include a B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting or industry-related major or equivalent construction consulting experience; and a minimum of 3-5 years’ construction claims and dispute resolution experience. An MBA, professional registration and/or other advanced degree is highly desired, as is the ability to identify and evaluate cause/effect relationships with claim issues, schedule and damages. Experience with construction project scheduling, job costing and CPM is valued, as are the ability to interpret construction plans, and knowledge of construction industry documents and practices. Working knowledge of MS Office, Primavera P3, SureTrak, and MS Project is also desirable. The candidate must be willing to travel up to 50%.

Primavera Support Wanted in Monroeville, PA

A successful candidate can expect to perform the following duties:

  • Assist in the transition utilization of the AP1000 engineering schedule to a scope management and delivery tool with direct linkage to construction and supply chain requirements to support the new build in China and the U.S.
  • Help focus the engineering work with the Projects Group schedule team, utilizing the “One Project” schedule concept.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, collection and reporting of Engineering Earned Value Management for reporting to the DOE, NuStart and other customer projects as required.
  • Coordinate and track aspects of engineering technical risks.
  • Work with engineering personnel to identify schedule inputs, interfaces, reporting and tracking mechanisms for design deliverables.
  • Work with NPP Engineering Controls to ensure integration and control of costs, budgets and schedule.

A successful candidate would have a bachelor’s degree and be familiar with and/or have experience with P3 and/or P6. Nuclear experience is a plus.
