What is Virtual Training?

There may not be an Oracle University certified Primavera training center that’s located conveniently for you. Based in Pittsburgh, Simplex has been able to serve a large portion of North America, but we understand that sometimes travel can be both inconvenient and cost-prohibitive. That’s why we’ve introduced what we call Virtual Training. Students anywhere in the world can attend our in-person training classes, by using the latest Web-conferencing technologies. It’s almost like being there in person. All you need is a phone, a computer, and an Internet connection.

Virtual Training gives you the same comprehensive course content and materials as our in-person training sessions, delivered by the same Primavera experts. Our instructors provide hands-on training, just as if you were in the room with them.

How Does Virtual Training Work?

• Set-up instructions are sent to students by e-mail in advance of the training session
• A printed training manual is shipped to each student
• Students connect to the virtual classroom either by phone or VOIP, using a Web-enabled computer
• A certified Oracle University Primavera instructor leads the class, using collaboration software
• The instructor shares any application on their desktop, as well as using Primavera software for demonstrations
• Students are provided a link for accessing the necessary Primavera software; installation of Primavera software is not necessary
• Students can share their screen with the instructor and their classmates, for asking questions or troubleshooting
• On training day(s), instruction begins at 8:30 AM, ET, and continues until about 4:30 PM; we take an hour’s break for lunch, and there are also short mid-morning and mid-afternoon breaks

What You’ll Need

• Computer (laptop or desktop)
• High-speed Internet access (LAN, DSL, cable)
• Internet browser
• Administrative rights for downloading Web-conferencing software, plug-ins, etc.
• Phone with headset/microphone or speakerphone feature
